THE ROBBINS BROTHERS LIFETIME DIAMOND, SAPPHIRE,
AND RUBY LIMITED WARRANTY
(the “Limited Warranty”)
Robbins Brothers warrants the quality of its diamond, ruby, and sapphire gemstones
(each a “Gemstone”) against Gemstone chips, Gemstone cracks or Gemstone separation
from the head and prongs (each a “Mounting”) for the Gemstone caused by a defective
Mounting as specified in this document. The jewelry purchased from Robbins Brothers
which contains a Gemstone purchased from Robbins Brothers is referred to hereafter as
(the “Gemstone Jewelry”). This Limited Warranty is between Robbins Brothers (“we” or
“us”) and the original purchaser of the Gemstone (the “Original Purchaser”). This Limited
Warranty can be transferred one time only to a person who receives the Gemstone
Jewelry as a gift from the Original Purchaser within one year of the date of purchase of
the Gemstone Jewelry (the “One-Time Gift Recipient”). “You” or “your” as used in this
Limited Warranty refers to the Original Purchaser, or in the case of a gift specified above,
the One-Time Gift Recipient after the gift is made.
Limited Warranty Term:
This Limited Warranty commences upon your purchase of the Gemstone Jewelry from Robbins Brothers and continues for your lifetime so long as you continue to own and possess the Gemstone Jewelry (the “Term”).
Disclaimer of Consequential Damages:
ROBBINS BROTHERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER AND ROBBINS BROTHERS HEREBY DISCLAIMS SUCH DAMAGES. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Description of Warranty Coverage, Exclusions and Our Obligations to You:
If, during the Term of this Limited Warranty, a Gemstone that you purchased from us (a)
chips, (b) cracks, or (c) is lost due to separation from its Mounting (each a “Defect”), then
we will replace that Gemstone with a Gemstone of comparable quality and size subject
to the Warranty Cap defined below. The maximum amount of total coverage provided
by this Limited Warranty is $50,000 (fifty thousand dollars) over the lifetime of your
Gemstone Jewelry (the “Warranty Cap”). The Warranty Cap is an aggregate limit that
applies regardless of the number of Gemstones in your Gemstone Jewelry or the original
cost of your Gemstone(s). If we replace your Gemstone based on this Limited Warranty,
then the replacement Gemstone and any other Gemstones in your Gemstone Jewelry are
also covered by this Limited Warranty but only as to any unused amount remaining under
the original Warranty Cap. We will also mount the replacement Gemstone(s) on your
Gemstone Jewelry at no additional cost to you.
This Limited Warranty applies only to Gemstone Jewelry that you purchase entirely from
us. As a result, this Limited Warranty does not cover (a) Gemstones you purchase from
us that are placed in settings sold by other jewelers or (b) Gemstones you purchase
from other jewelers that are placed in settings sold by us. If you purchase a lab-grown
Gemstone from us that has a Defect, then we will replace it with another lab-grown
Gemstone of comparable quality and size subject to the Warranty Cap and availability.
If you purchase a natural Gemstone from us that has a Defect, then we will replace it with
another natural Gemstone of comparable quality and size subject to the Warranty Cap
and availability. Gemstones other than diamonds, rubies and sapphires are not covered
by this Limited Warranty. This Limited Warranty covers only the Gemstones and does not
provide repairs to or replacement of any other part or aspect of your Gemstone Jewelry.
This Limited Warranty is conditioned upon you having the Gemstone Jewelry cleaned
and checked once a year and you receiving verification of that inspection in writing in
the space provided in the Limited Warranty booklet by an authorized representative of
Robbins Brothers (the “Annual Documented Inspection”). We are pleased to provide you
with the Annual Documented Inspection at no additional cost to you.
This Limited Warranty is also conditioned upon you having necessary repairs performed
to your Gemstone Jewelry at your own expense that are identified during the Annual
Documented Inspection and which are not covered by this Limited Warranty (the
“Required Repairs”). While we encourage you to have Required Repairs performed by
Robbins Brothers, you are free to have such repairs performed by any jeweler of your
choice. However, Robbins Brothers is not liable for—and this Limited Warranty does not
cover—defects or damage caused by repairs or service performed by other jewelers.
In addition, while Robbins Brothers can confirm and track the completion of Required
Repairs it performs to your Gemstone Jewelry, you are responsible for providing Robbins
Brothers with documentation of the completion of Required Repairs performed by other
jewelers when making a claim under this Limited Warranty. Required Repairs performed
by another jeweler of your choice does not exempt you from the Annual Documented
Inspection which is required to be performed once a year for your Limited Warranty to
remain effective.
If your Gemstone has a Defect (a) after the previous Annual Documented Inspection has
expired and before you have obtained a subsequent Annual Documented Inspection or
(b) after the previous Annual Documented Inspection and you have not completed the
Required Repairs identified during the previous Annual Documented Inspection (even if
you have since obtained a subsequent Annual Documented Inspection), then you will not
be entitled to a replacement Gemstone or any other benefits under this Limited Warranty,
and your Limited Warranty will be considered suspended (“Suspension”). However, you
can end the Suspension of your Limited Warranty and obtain coverage for Defects that
arise after the end of the Suspension by completing the Annual Documented Inspection
and Required Repairs. After doing so, the Suspension of your Limited Warranty will end
and the Limited Warranty will cover any subsequent Defects that arise after the end of the
Suspension so long as both the Annual Documented Inspection remains current and any
Required Repairs remain completed. In no event will ending a Suspension of your Limited
Warranty result in coverage for a Defect that arose during the time that your Limited
Warranty was in Suspension.
This Limited Warranty does not cover defects, damage, functionality, or other issues with
respect to the Gemstone and/or Gemstone Jewelry, which are caused all or in part by any
of the following:

Brothers is not responsible for any loss or damage to your Gemstone Jewelry incurred

is still subject to the same Annual Documented Inspection and Required Repairs
conditions noted above. As a result, please be sure to ship your Gemstone Jewelry

completed on time and so that your Limited Warranty is not suspended as discussed
above. Online customers are always welcome to take their Gemstone Jewelry to the
nearest Robbins Brothers store to avoid the costs of shipping.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights
which vary from State to State.

control of Robbins Brothers. As a result, this Limited Warranty is neither a
service contract nor an insurance policy.

CARING FOR WHITE GOLD
Congratulations on purchasing your beautiful white gold jewelry.
What many people may not know is that gold, as it occurs in nature,
is not usually white. Instead, specialists combine the naturally
occurring yellow gold with nickel, palladium and/or other metals to
create the exquisite white gold jewelry item you’ve chosen. Upon
completing the combining (alloying) process, the white gold jewelry
is then put through the final step, known as rhodium plating. The
rhodium finishing process applies a hard white finish (rhodium is a
member of the platinum family) that enhances the “white gold” to
give it the polished, brilliant look you see in your jewelry. Over time,
and through normal wear, the rhodium finish will begin to wear, and
the white gold’s natural yellowish shade of origin will begin to show.
When this happens, simply bring the white gold item back to your
nearest Robbins Brothers, and for a nominal fee we will restore
the original beautiful luster by repolishing and rhodium finishing
your ring. If you have purchased the Peace of Mind Promise,
then the rhodium plating is covered under your maintenance
program for the length of the program.
Ask your Robbins Brothers associate for details.
CARING FOR MICRO PAVE
Congratulations on the purchase of your stunning micro pave jewelry
item. Micro pave is one of the most beautiful and delicate design styles.
To ensure that this ring remains magnificently beautiful for years to
come, there are some precautions you must be aware of.
The design of micro pave in itself is very intricate. The technique used to
create the illusion of a ring “paved” with diamonds takes a very skilled
craftsman. The smallest of diamonds are seated within the metal, edge
to edge, with as little of the surface of the ring showing as possible. More
diamond, less metal. Although this creates an absolutely stunning look,
this jewelry item needs to be worn with purposeful awareness. Wear
this item with care. Just as you would not wear high heels to go jogging,
your micro pave jewelry item should be worn appropriately. It should
not be worn during intense physical activity or work with tools or large
instruments. If you play tennis, work in the garden or lift weights we
recommend you leave your micro pave item at home. A significant direct
“hit” against your jewelry item could result in a diamond loss.
Improper or frequent resizing can disturb the structural integrity of the
jewelry item. Sizing of a micro pave jewelry item changes the shape of
the seats that hold the diamonds and can spread out the metal holding
the diamonds if the sizing is done frequently or is outside of the jewelry
parameters, in turn leaving you with unsecure diamonds. In general,
micro pave jewelry items should not be sized more than ½ size to ensure
that the structural integrity of the item is not compromised. If you
happen to lose a diamond in your micro pave item, don’t worry as your
diamond may be covered by our Lifetime Diamond, Sapphire, and
Ruby Limited Warranty. See our Lifetime Diamond, Sapphire, and Ruby
Limited Warranty for further details.
You have chosen a striking jewelry item to be proud of.
Your only job now is to Wear it with Care.
