How To Care for a Diamond
Just because a diamond is the hardest substance on earth does not mean it can’t be damaged. Be careful with household cleaners that may hurt your diamond jewelry. Bleaches, chlorine, and things like that, can actually damage the mounting, or the ring itself as well. They may even cause discoloration and pitting. Your diamond can also appear dull due to such things as hair spray and makeup. Even every day wear and tear can have an effect too. So be careful with your precious stone. The wonderful thing about diamonds is that they never ever lose their beauty and brilliance once they're cut. You simply have to clean that diamond and you get that look that you had the day you fell in love with it. But taking care and being aware will mean less trips to jewelers and less inconvenience.
