Robbins Brothers KTLA TV Deliver Early Holiday Surprise

A devastated woman from Brea, CA loses her engagement ring on Halloween night, but receives an early Christmas gift from her husband who shows up at her job as Santa Claus with the help of Robbins Brothers.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 17, 2009 - It was a trick and no treat for Brenda Ruiz, a local Brea woman who was excited about Halloween until she discovered her missing engagement ring. While preparing for the night's festivities and painting a haunted house, Brenda placed her ring inside of the candy bowl she used to pass out goodies. She never removed her ring from the bowl and soon realized it was missing, a little too late.

Brenda's engagement ring meant the world to her since her husband Ernie Ruiz, after twenty years of marriage, saved enough money to purchase it from Robbins Brothers, The Engagement Ring Store in Fullerton, CA. "Ernie presented the ring to me as a 20th wedding anniversary gift in 2003 and wasn't able to afford a nice ring before then," commented Brenda Ruiz. "It symbolizes our long-lasting relationship and every time I look at it I remember Ernie's proposal and the way I felt when he asked me to be his wife."

Robbins Brothers heard about Brenda's ring loss and immediately wanted to help. The destination engagement ring retailer, known for delivering heartfelt surprises to engaged couples, partnered with Gayle Anderson of the KTLA 5 Morning News to surprise the Ruiz' with a new ring nearly identical to Brenda's original style.

This morning, television reporter Gayle Anderson and company representatives helped Ernie surprise Brenda at her job, Solari Enterprises, with a sparkling 14 karat white gold ring with a classic prong setting and beautiful round brilliant diamonds. Ernie, who works for Albertsons and has a fun magnetic personality, dressed up in a Santa Claus costume, dropped to bended knee and asked Brenda to marry him all over again. Of course, she said "yes!!"

"I'm so thankful because I knew how much that ring meant to her, and with this tough economy I had no idea how long it would take to save for another one," said Ernie. "Robbins Brothers is great and genuine because they were really concerned about our loss. They wanted a positive outcome to our Halloween nightmare and I can't thank them enough."

"We love celebrating a couple's relationship and it was our pleasure to help replace Brenda's ring," said Diane Ferraro, Director of Marketing for Robbins Brothers. "We're aware of the time and effort a guy puts into finding that perfect ring for her and then proposing marriage. We also know that when a woman looks at her engagement ring, she is reminded of his love and their lifelong commitment to each other."
